This area is just plain nasty. Trash is thrown about and shows disregard to their neighbors. There are old box springs and other trash along this alley. On just about every City owned trash can there is Hot Pink graffiti on the lids.

Alley east of Champion Ave

The garage above is located in the alley off of Thurman Ave East of Champion Ave. Leaving this trash in the alley is a violation, but yet the property owner has no respect for his/her South Side neighbors.

This garage below is located on Thurman Ave at the alley way East of Champion Ave. This property ialso has a fallen fence in the yard.

Adopt-An-Area is a program of volunteers and in conjuction with the City and Keep Columbus Beautiful. This program promotes a cleaner, more liveable neighborhood and gives YOU a more active role in your neighborhood and gives the South Side positive attention that we all deserve.
Cleaning up the neighborhoods sends a clear message to the criminals that we care about where we live and that we will not tolerate the unwanted activity. We will no longer sit by and watch our neighborhoods degrade.
We also work with Code Enforcement, the City of Columbus 311 System and Nail A Dumper. While it is not our intention to always turn a property owner to Code, but the property owner must want to work with the together to improve our neighborhoods.
Even though the area that needs to be cleaned up is outside of our boundaries, IT IS STILL OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. We walk or drive past this trash daily and this is the type of cancer that is killing the South Side.
PLEASE SHOW YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD PRIDE ON MAY 16TH AT KARNS PARK AT 9 AM TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP CLEAN UP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. A PICNIC LUNCH WILL BE SERVED FOR ALL THE VOLUNTEERS.
